Description: Crossing into Everett from Mukilteo eastbound on Mukilteo Blvd. There is no bike lane on the bridge. when there is traffic I use the raised pedestrian sidewalk when riding. At the east end of the bridge the sidewalk is channeled back to the bike lane. There is a curve in the road and it is very narrow.

Recommendation: This area could be improved through a slight redesign. The grass in the right of way could be removed. The lane could be widened. There is signage marking the bridge that could be moved out of the way. With these improvements other signage saying "No Shoulder" could be removed. This would also be a great improvement for pedestrians.
Comments: I have photos but don't see where to attach them on this form. I am involved in the City of Everett Neighborhood Boulevard Bluffs group. The area I am reporting is in the BB neighborhood. I am also reporting this to the Dongho Chang, City Engineer. Somewhat unrelated - It is my understanding that bike lanes are called pedestrian pathways in Everett. It is legal for cars to park in pedestrian pathways. A City of Everett road engineer Dongho Chang has talked about creating an ordinance to make parking illegal in these pedestrian pathways. Is the Bike group aware of pursuing this also? Thanks, LS
